1942 year. The US government decides that they must go to war that is sweeping the world. Soon, active preparations for regular hostilities begin.
In the center of the plot of the film "Greyhound" is a truly brave officer Ernest Krause, who is tasked with becoming the new captain of the US Navy. Wanting to help his country, he immediately set to work and soon became the head of a convoy of 37 ships belonging to his home country and allies.
On Ernest's orders, the battle group crosses the treacherous waters of the North Atlantic on a dangerous mission. However, during the campaign, the ships come under the sight of German submarines. Krause understands that the fate of his comrades depends on his every action, and therefore he must make only the most effective decisions. But Ernest fights with his own doubts and old demons that prevent him from soberly assessing the situation.
